Fire Of God,

2Chronicles 7:1

 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house.

And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

 Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee

For the benefit of those still doubting about the fire of God, the fire of God is not only real, but burns steadily when released.We need to look into these key verses  in 2 Chronicles 7:1-3 in order to fully understand why it fell, what can attract the  fire and and the  various missions of the fire of God.

Praying,  not just praying,but warfare prayers,prayers that carries you to some length of time,prayers that remove virtues from you,prayers that could be violent if necessary ,prayers that can carry you into the presence of God, prayers prayed with clean hands, clean heart and upright living, and like Esther, pray or perish.

  • First the fire of God falls to reveal the glory of the almighty God,who people in most cases defile his instructions.  You will note that the  fire of God fell first, then the glory of God was openly revealed for all to see, this propelled the people to praise Him the more.
  • Praise and worship ?..yes, it brings down the fire of God and His glory which the fire proclaims.
  • Power.
  • Yes power of God was grossly revealed when ever fire falls from heaven.
  • 2Kings 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and  his fifty.
     2Kings 1:12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.God's power and ability to respond quickly to the demands and cries of His people for intervention was demonstrated here, you must not be Elijah before you call on this fire of intervention, only do this according to His will
  • Mobilize and Equip ; God's fire or the fire of God mobilizes and equips His servants for action.It a force that reminds the people that issues of God.

Warning Note..Deutronomy 4:24.. For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

Nobody can challenge or battle with the fire of God.

Each time the power and fire of God is let down,His glory is revealed and the people of God are cautioned or cautions themselves, they are forced to search themselves and enter true worship. The fire of God, the glory of God and true worship of God, are all spiritual force and forces that mobilizes and equips God's people and servants..

The Purpose Of The Fire Of God.

2 Chronicles 7:4-6, Isaiah 48:10, Psalms 104:4.

Natural fire is too common to us,but there is spiritual fire.The natural fire is parallel to spiritual fire. The purpose of the fire of God is manifold. The fire of God provides spiritual energy for the work of God,it warms the cold Christian, the man of God and true worshippers.

'The purpose of God's fire is to empower believers and their ministries ,to pronounce His presence in the midst of His people,to provide guidance, ,to cleanse and refine us,to demonstrate approval,and demonstrate His ever present power.

To serve as spiritual weapon.The fire of God kindle and rekindle us so as to kindle and rekindle others around us.
