Moving Into Your Destiny.

MOVE NOWBy Faith You Can.

Hebrews 11:8-10

" By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God."

As we stood at the beginning of a new year let me ask a question; what are some of the things that we would really like to see God do in our lives in the next 12 months.

Many have already started making resolutions for the New Year. Some have made a resolution to lose weight. Others have made resolution to save money and get out of debt. Many have made a resolution to spend more time with family members. Then there are those that have made a resolution to get close to God and do His will. It won’t happen without faith, because the Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God…” (Hebrews 11:6)

There are four essentials that we must have to move forward in faith and see God work in our lives. I believe these same essentials can be seen in the life of Abraham as he follows God.

DESIRE -Phil 4;8 3 John 1;2.

-Desire is a longing or hoping for something bigger and better for our lives. Abraham had a desire for the city of God. God’s word tells us that he was looking for a city that had foundation and whose builder and maker was God. In other words Abraham had a desire for God and the things of God. As we move into a New Year and beyond we must have a desire for God and those things He has purposed for our lives. God purpose for our lives is for more than a status quoi life. God has exciting and wonderful things planned for our lives. To see those things come to pass, we must have desire, a strong desire.

DIRECTION: Deut 1:6-8,1 kings 17;1-7. Luke 17 :32

Webster defines direction as “the line or course on which something is moving or is aimed to move”. We must move in the direction that God leads. The book Psalms teaches us that the steps of the righteous are order o by the Lord. However, it is up to us to obey and follow God’s leading. What an exciting year it will be if we move in God’s direction for our lives.
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.-Hebrews 11:8-10 . Remember Lot's wife..Lukw 17:32.

DEDICATION: Job 1:20-22, 1 Chronicles 4;9-10,Dan 3;3 Ezra 6:16, Num 7:84.Rom 8;35.

Acts 18:9 " Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:"

It will take dedication and commitment on our part. There will be times when we will fill like quitting. We will grow tired and weary and want to throw in the towel. The enemy will do everything to discourage us. However, If we are dedicated to God and His purpose, we will continue to move forward. The more we move forward the more of God we will experience.Job " Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly ".Job 1:20-22

DEPENDENCY--1 Sam 17;32-40--1 Kings 18:21-38, Dan 6;10-11, 1 kings 17:3-7.

"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word". 1 Kings 18:21

1 Kings 18:37-38 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.".1 Kings 18:37-38

Dependency is perhaps the most important essential that we will need. We must be fully dependent on God for strength and courage. To be dependent means to rely upon or to trust. It is to lean upon with all our weight. In other words, it is God that fully supports me. It is through Him who gives me strength.” That means we must depend utterly and completely on the power of Jesus. Jesus said, John 15:5 where Jesus said, “apart from me you can nothing.” As we move forward we have an inner source of strength that will enable us to keep going. That source is the Lord Jesus Christ. So let’s move forward in faith trusting God for desire, direction and dedication to move us into the destiny He has for out lives. We must remain bold on this confession." I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me ".Philippians 4:13
